Tea Over Cupcakes  Carolyn Robb The Royal Touch Review Carolyn Robb The Royal Touch SM Aura Premier , McKinley Parkway McKinley Hill, Taguig (02) 556-0756 Facebook  | theroyaltouchphils@gmail.com When my friend and I met last month , all we had were Thai lunch , hefty conversations, giggles, pictures and royalty cupcakes on the late part of the afternoon. S and I have the same interests -- books, cutesy stuff and food. So, upon descending the elevator and having laid eyes on this dainty cafe, we agreed to go back to the spot for a parting snack. Carolyn Hobb founded this premium food and lifestyle brand, The Royal Chef. Carolyn is an executive chef to TRH Prince Charles, Prince William, Princess Diana and the royal families.  THE CUPCAKES J met with us on SM Aura and he got to join the ladies in having tea. The lovely cupcakes were as if waving their tiny imaginary hands to you, making you crave for them, confusing your brain as to which of them will win the ticket to your stomach.  Se

Becoming Madness

I was browsing my facebook news feed when this share caught my attention. via Facebook share Brad Pitt about his wife: My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and children. She lost 30 pounds and weighted about 90 pounds. She got very skinny and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman. She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs. She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the mornings and got tired very quickly during the day. Our relationship was on the verge of a break up. Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself. She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role. I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon… But then I decided to act. After all I’ve got the most beautiful woman on earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and

Swimsuit Shopping for Baler Beach Fest

Summer may be almost over, but no other season exists in my world. Summer has become this eternal juncture – reliving it over and over again. Summer has even become a way of life. I have booked a trip to Baler in September and I just can't wait to hit the beach. Learning how to surf has been on my bucket list for quite a while now and I need to cross it out and replace it with “Surf the beaches of this and that”. Or maybe I should buy a surfboard first, huh? Anyway, back to swimsuits. Choosing the right one to wear is a dilemma that I would love to solve. Being a seeker of individuality, I wouldn't go for the skimpy usual bikinis - I'd like to go for something refreshing, one that isn’t too revealing, yet still says sexy all the way. Here they are:     I have a thing for retro swimsuits for the pin-up girl aura. I love how the diagonal stripes meet at the center of the body and the cute little halter knot at the back. This gives an edge to t

My Heart Will Sing

via     Play to set up the mood.  Me: God, can I ask You a question? God: Sure Me: Promise You won't get mad God: I promise Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today? God: What do u mean? Me: Well, I woke up late God: Yes Me: My car took forever to start God: Okay Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait God: Huummm Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call God: All right Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that? God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that Me (humbled): OH GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road. Me: (ashamed) God: The first person who made your sa

Don't Cry

Last night, a close friend of mine tagged me in a video of a song which he made years ago, way back when we were in college. That would be like 5 years ago? I think. Anyway, he made this song as a reply to my letter to my dad who just passed away. I had a central theme for my letter. It was about how we don't understand what's going on today, but eventually we will when we look back to it a few years or even a few days in the future. Nobody knows. So, let it be our  quote of the day too. We live life forward, but we can only understand it if we play it backwards. I read it somewhere before, but I didn't know that this would inspire me to keep pushing through each day after that unfortunate one. Here's the song. You need to listen to it, I swear. Tell me what you think, okay? :) Anyway, my friend E is so talented, eh? Those are his lyrics, not mine. He was just inspired by my letter. :) And, do you know that he is also the one who plays the guitar, piano

Glad to Be Globe: Apartment Life

When you're in your early 20's and you're just starting out, you really can't do anything much because a.) You're just starting. b.) You just moved in to a new city and c.) You need to start a savings account. Back when my apartment mates and I were just starting out yet, the only entertaining thing that we can afford are a Starbucks drink a month and a monthly internet subscription. BUT, our internet connection is just so &*#$!%$!^#! slow that I have dedicated an entire article to my previous internet service provider. Here, read: Tips in Dealing with Your Internet Service Provider The time came when we can't take it anymore. Good thing I walked into Globe and inquired about their DSL plan. And, upon talking to kuya , I was really impressed and excited!! When I got there, A cable plan on our apartment street was already presented before my eyes. Good thing 2 nodes (or whatever you call it) are still available! They've come over our house o
