Tony and Jackey Review | L'Oreal Digital Perm + Korean Hair Color

Image
It's just May, but I have already crossed out almost 3 things from My Life List. I had my hair colored and digi permed last Friday in Tony and Jackey. As usual. I had my hair permed for the first time there almost two years ago! That was the second to the last time that I went to the parlor before going back again. Yes, I do not take care of my hair and -- err, hair, I am terribly sorry for allowing split ends to prosper and for the curls to turn back straight. I have wanted to fix my hair for the longest time and to end my whining about that, I sucked it all in and breathe it all out. I was planning to have my hair rebonded, but I was always hesitant because my hair is soo thin. Super thin. But when I asked the Pinay assistants over there, they said that my hair would survive the treatment. Then, one Ate suggested that I do a another type of ironing the hair -- to use circular, fat irons instead of the flat one so that my hair will appear bouncy rather than limp. Oh, joy. My he

The Battle Between The Food Groups

Eversince I started working for a nutritionist in oDesk, I couldn't help but to think of my own well being too. I started pinning superfoods and exercises in Pinterest. Here, take a lookie at my boards . Anyhow, I started buying fruits in the supermarket. I used to only love bananas because aside from the  health benefits of eating banana  I love the sweetness of this happy, yellow fruit. And, it blends well with strawberries for fruit shakes. My favorite combo. I also love eating bananas covered with crunchy peanut butter. And do you know that banana peel can heal pimples fast? Yes, just rub them on the affected area three times a day for 3 days and viola. Your skin will be back to normal. Now, I have decided that I should listen to my body and try to indulge in other fruits like apples and grapes no  matter how expensive they are. These are all investments after all. Your body is worth investing for. And I've been sipping tea too. I've got stocks of them. I pe

Why Marrying Young is Not My Thing

Image
via People my age and even those younger than me are already getting married. Now, you must be thinking that I am envious of them and I am here to blab my sour grapey reasons why marrying young is such a no-no. Well, marrying young is alright as long as you are ready in all aspects. So, let me give you my thoughts on why I am still single and free at this age. 1. Financially speaking, I am not stable. I may have my little savings account, but there are still no major investments, emergency fund, personal health insurance (only in the company, which is kind of unstable given the fact that resigning is always an option). Wedding calls for hundreds of thousands and marriage even calls for more. Read: house, money, car. Geez, I just purchased my very own lappy this year. 2. Waking up in the middle of the night makes me cringe. I am not yet ready to be a mother. And, I mean   breastfeeding is something I am not ready to handle yet. Though I am looking forward for the hip expan

I'm seriously thinking of migrating to Wordpress because I think the fonts are lovelier over there. However, my heart is heavily thumping when I think of abandoning Blogger. I've been with it for the longest time and we've been this close .. when nobody saw me. {Drama song now playing}. I just like the Like button on Wordpress. That's all. =D But, I think I am keeping my personal blog. Remember how I used to blab about revamping my old sites? That is not possible with my old sites. I need a new, clean slate. I want a Thought Cataglog-ish, Brain Picking-ish Wordpress site. ;) And this blog will continue as is. Ohkay. That's the plan.  Also, I just figured I don't make a good travel blogger because I just can't re tell my travels. I mean, include an expense chart, re type the itinerary and stuff. I am so sorry I can't provide technical details of my travels. I should blog about my travels the next day that I arrive home because I grow t

Relationships 101: Are You the Cat or the Dog?

Image
via In relationships, one loves the other more than the other does. You would always wish that you are the latter so you have the wheel. If you are the latter, then you are a cat. If you are the former, you are the dog. So, the million dollar question is: Which animal role do you portray in your current relationship? Here, let me help you decide. 1. You're the cat if you keep passing the blame to your partner in almost everything. Why you arrived late in your group date. Why you missed the bus. It's always your partner to blame. And the dog, because of his love for you, accepts defeat. via 2. Cats are  playful creatures. Purr here, purr there. You can play with them and tickle them AS LONG AS THEY WANT TO. And if they are on this playful mood, you have to comply. Let them pinch your face or.. sit on your head. Treat these moments as gold because if they don't want to play, then back off.  via 3. If dogs have done something that have maddened the
