Another Long Weekend, Please?

Image
The long weekend is over. Bummer. But I have done a couple of things: Finished reading The Darwin Awards Next Evolution. Book review coming soon in `Fiercer Bait . Ate at a secret place in Los Baños with family. Will write/talk about it in Gastronomicca . Rode a trolley! The seat with wheels. A transportation means through the riles (Train tracks). You just have to pay Php10 per head. Guess I'll do a separate post for that. Stay tuned! :) Met up with my high school friend, S! We haven't seen each other for like more than a year now. It was fun talking to her about random stuff. We found a book, "Why Men Marry Bitches" and "Why Men Love Bitches". And we read several reasons why and I have to agree with the author. Men just don't like clingy girls. S is an expert at that (but she's no B). I mean, she is like a man-hater. The fear of not having a boyfriend until now does not intimidate her. She's pretty and sexy and smart; boys are well, n

Discovered a Great Cellphone Plan in Straight Talk

Image
This post brought to you by Straight Talk . All opinions are 100% mine. Now that I have a new phone, I want a cellphone postpaid plan that will cater to everything you need . Once in a while, I have to call a friend , text subscribers from other network and do international calling. You know very well why I need to do the latter.  However, in doing so, I don't want to stash all my cash. That's what my mom always tell me. Be practical. And I better should since mom knows best . The boyf said he has to pay $75 for a month long of unlimited texting. Now that is expensive. I wanted to tell him about a great plan that I have discovered on the internet -- Straight Talk cellphone plans.  With Straight Talk, one will be only charged $45 for unlimited texting, calling, picture messaging and web surfing. This will be good for a month. Their offer is really cheaper. The same service can be enjoyed for a year at a better price. If one will avail of the

Today {Aug. 25} is National Banana Split Day

Image
Yes, even desserts are celebrated. To join the rest of the food addicts, celebrate today by eating a banana split, whether they're homemade or ordered from a dessert parlor. But, uh, you wouldn't enjoy the activity if you would have it delivered. Kidding! HOW DID THE BANANA SPLIT CAME TO BE Nobody can really trace the history of this food holiday. Some say it was started by a pharmacy student started back in 1904. Those who live in Ohio, however, claim that they were the originators of the food fad. Besides, only Wilmington, Ohio celebrates the Banana Split Festival. I got this from this site . via HOW TO MAKE ONE If you don't know where to start in making your banana split, you can refer to this certain Banana Split recipe for an orgasmic dessert today. People, creative as we are, have allowed the evolution of this dessert. Some experiment with different flavored ice cream. Some modifies the cut of the their bananas and the placement of those banana cuts. The syrup and to

Super Panalo 99 Meals from Pizza Hut

Image
Monday night and I found myself in the mall; I was supposed to have my new phone fixed, but I got bloopers blush instead. Hence, to erase the memory and blow up my smashed ego, I decided to have a fine meal. Nowadays, no one can have a decent order without spending Php 100 or more. When I saw the promo plastered to the crystal wall of Pizza Hut, I rejoiced, knowing that I was wrong. Having an appetizer, main course and drinks for only Php99 is promising. So, I barged into the familiar restaurant and contemplated on what to order. I battled with myself on what appetizer to pick. I want a salad, but I need soup since it seems like I'm going to have colds. THE FOOD So, I had Cream of Chicken as my appetizer. The green stuff on top is oiled herbs and the chunks are chicken cubes. I like the thin taste of herbs against the creamy feel of the soup. For my main course, I choose the Chicken BBQ Pan Pizza  since I miss the thin crust version of this pizza made in my hometown. The pizza tast

Are You Bored With Me Yet?

Image
Heya. I've been thinking about my personal blog -- this. Don't you think it's too vain and too personal? I may bore you to sleep with stories, raves and rants about myself. I don't know if you are getting something positive while you read my posts, or if you are reading at all. Anyway, I do want to say that I can talk about other things besides myself, my dreams, my relationships and my feelings. Lol. You may ask, what other things are they. So, here it goes: I talk about my dogs and other inspiring dog stories. I talk about inspirational stuff, I write poems and I post book reviews. I blab about my earning online adventures. I started compiling my gastronomic adventures. I want to share the beautiful pictures that I take with Adalie, my GE x5.  You can click on each line above to know what I mean. :) Just in case you find this blog shallow. But I really wanted to share with you my other thoughts about other non-narcissistic things. But I find this b

What I said Last Year in Facebook

Image
I just have discovered this tonight. This just showed up on the right side of my facebook profile. It is an app, I guess, that I never know of until tonight. It reminded me of my status last year. Um, by last year, I mean the exact date last year. Cool, huh? What I said today: What I said last year: I guess I'm happy during this time of the year. :)  I hope you are, too.

Mood: Happy

Hey, lovelies! :) [currently listening to: 90's music 89.9 FM. Feels like I'm in my elem days again!] via My room is a mess, but I am happy tonight. Why? Because I can finally strike out one of my dream things item. I finally bought a new phone -- Samsung Wave 525 ! And I am happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this phone. I bought it for only Php6,790 at Fone Style. And had an additional 4GB memory card for only 400. I would have bought the 800GB for Php700, but they don't have an available stock. Tsk. I made a survey of the Samsung Wave 525 price on all the stores in the mall days before I made the purchase. Yes, I did. And of course, I bought the phone from the store that sells it for the cheapest price. They offer a 1 year warranty, so there's nothing to worry about. Umm, I wanted to do a manual Life List here in my blog, but I am feeling lazy. So, I'll still integrate my 43 things in one of my blog pages. Doncha think? ;} Besides, I do hav

I Need Your Opinion :|

Which do you think will I buy? Samsung S5250 Wave525 or  Samsung S3580 Corby II    I wanted to buy a new phone for myself eversince I landed this job, but I can't seem to buy one because I think my money will not be worth it. But since my phone is kind of hard to deal with -- long time to load the messages, family and the boyf say that they don't receive my messages and all. Because of all these, I want to get a decent phone. Remember how I raved about the Samsung Galaxy Ace ? The thing is, it costs Php13,000 plus and I don't think I will be able to utilize all its features. (When I started earning my own money, I want to make sure that every cent is worth it, well, most of the time, anyway.) And Php13,000 for a cellphone is pretty much off my budget. I still need to buy an external hard disk. So, today, I have this brilliant idea that would enable me to buy a new cellphone anytime soon. And today, I scourged the internet for the perfect and practical phone for me.
