Velvety Aggravations

Image
Seems like this is the first time that I loathe the pouring rain. Hours have passed since nature's clouds had been saturated and gave in to precipitation. Like hours have passed since I got my neck strained from glancing out the porch window for a sign of my boyfriend. For the past few months, we barely got to hang out with each other since I'm here and he's there. He's at his hometown, volunteering in their local hospital. Yes, he is a nurse, a registered nurse, in fact. And I'm here in the city doing nothing. Actually, working on my thesis some of the days and reading some of my engineering books, which I haven't religiously read during my college days. That is, when I feel the urge to. And yes, I am an engineer engineering graduate who's trying to get her license. Kind of odd, right? He got the course suited for a lady and I got the course suited for a man, but that just doesn't matter nowadays. His ticket says he is bound for Manila tomorrow at

Septembirth Day # 2

Image
A friend for five years. A classmate. Sometimes, an enemy(we had petty fights). A kid at heart. And just a kid. A sister to her sister. A basketball addict. A food tripper. An artist in her own right. A lover. A soon to be electronics engineer. A nail polish fetish. A writer. A texter. A walking google. A phil sci student. An 18 fan. and many more.. Two friends and I made her an iced-box cake, but I believed it was more of a float with lotsa cherries in it. I sliced a cherry in half and sculpted each part into tiny hearts and placed them on the four corners of our home-made cake.

Septembirth Day # 1

Image
The sixteenth of September was the day my cousin turned four. Since I can't fly all the way to Laguna to greet her, I made her a picture. Her birthday was celebrated in one of my favorite childhood fastfood chain, Jollibee. Bratz was the theme she liked for her birthday. In her pictorial, she dressed like one, too with all the brigt stripes and leggings. I have to use the stamp tool (one of my fave tools), to erase one member of the Bratz and replace it with the picture of my cousin. Too bad I can't join the fun. Naomi Keith is her real name and she can talk sense. Here is one of her conversations with her mama. Naomi: Mama, pahiram ng cellphone, may itetext ako. Mama: Bakit? Sino ba i-tetext mo? Naomi: Opo. Patay na raw sila. *quick laughter*

Boom Bim

This is a DogBerry follow up entry. Since I haven't formally introduced my two dogs. This a follow-up for my post yesterday. Read on! My dogs don't bite - unless you mess up with them. Lol. I'm kidding. Name: Bimbim Sex: Female Breed: Pure Japanese Spitz Color: snow white Birthdate: June 10, 2009 Weakness: Food, anything that can be munched on Fear: Bath time! No. of persons attacked: No Record, yet. Dominating Trait: Jumpy. The faintest sounds get her. I wonder how will she do during New Year. Embarrassing Moment: She puked on me and my mother inside the taxi. Ew. I bet the ride had given her headache.  Instead of getting angry at her, my mom and I felt sorry. From the backride, she went to me and sat on my lap. And I held her on my chest, thinking that she is in the mood for some cuddling. Only she would do the deed after a few minutes. We were nearly there on my tita's house when it happened. So was this a good thing or a bad thing? Good, s

Immunization Day

Image
Ten days have elapsed since Bimbim's (the white one) supposedly second shot. She should have received her anti-rabies vaccination on the fourth, but we were kinda busy and at the same time, out of budget for our little pup's needs. When the tip of the needle pierced my little baby's skin, she gave out a few shrieks. I am so sorry it has to touch her twice that day. But then, this thing is for her -- to keep her healthy and happy. She needs it more than Boomboom (the one with the red eye. Haven't edited it it! :D) does. Compared to him, she is more animal-like. (As if they are not animals.) What I meant was, she eats everything her paws lay on, from stones to little toys the kids here in the house own. Boomboom is the opposite. I need to plonk a little sample of his food in his mouth before he would start eating. Oops. Did that sound abusive? I do it gently, everyone. Attention is what he needs and he won't eat without attention. He is way tooo sweet. Too sweet tha

09.09.09

It's triple oh-nine today, just like it was triple oh-eight last year. The triple eight last year was supposed to be a wedding date of my relative, but something went wrong - the guy realized that the girl he thought he was madly in love with is not the one - and the wedding was off. Devastating, isn't it? Especially when you had your designer gown already glamorously hanging on your walk-in closet. Karma is really a bitch and permits no one to have his/her sweet escape. Not even this certain leader I know about. I went to school a couple of hours ago and had brought home something interesting to blog about. It was our school paper. It was controversial enough to fan the flames of the supposedly dying issue of the rants of the students about the lousy student council that had reigned over them. The remarks were just a little fascinating, that is, if you're just a reader. But if you are this certain "president Miss tea" they were writing about, then prepare your

stucked up teenage dream on my adult life

I never owned a blog, though I've got my first bulky HP computer with post paid internet connection when I was eleven. That's one decade and one year ago. Now, I'm twenty two and unemployed. I can still remember my many cyber firsts. One of my favorite websites involved real life kids with their real life experiences. It's a place where kids all over the world shared their first kiss experiences. As an eleven-year old girl who reads Sweet Valley Kids, it's a pure sanctuary. I would smile over their stories, imagining the day I get to be a contributor to that site and no longer an inactive guest. I never get to write there though, even after I graduated high school. The lesson I've learned after my teenage years was I shouldn't have read those Sweet Valley stuff. They had poisoned my innocent mind with smooches and it ignited my imagination on this topic. I can still remember some lines from the poem which Elizabeth wrote for Todd during their camp. I w
