A Retro Resto

The clock says it's some minutes past one, yet we were headed to a place for food. It's a little late for lunch and very early for some afternoon munching. He told me he knew this place. A simple one. Nothing fancy. So I lowered down my expectations, a little happy since *whisper* I'm low in moolah. We hopped off the jeepney a block before Chinese Commercial School. Passed by amused people dining in Jollibee. Passed by Unitop and a couple of bakeries. Before I can even ask, he signaled for me to come in for we've arrived. He was right, you could almost not notice that a burger joint exists at that corner. Oh, okay, I thought, until the details caught my attention. Framed Broadway posters ranging from Les Miserables to Wicked (the book with the lime green edges) surround the place. A bar sits beside the cashier. I had a cheeseburger with mustard and he had a double patty with All the Works, which entails an additional lettuce and tomatoes in your burger. The burger p

I'm on SmartBro Unlisurf 200 for 2h,10m,29s now. And I am so glad I've tried this service. And I've come to visit their site http://smart.com.ph/bro/ and I spotted my credits: You currently have 12,045 rewards points as of 26/04/2010. Keep on using Smart to earn more rewards points. Reward yourself for being Smart! Whew. And my reward? I'll avail it later. Nice, huh? And another great news from Smart is their WiFi Package -- Unlimited WiFi valid for 7 days for only Php150. I'm not sure on how it works, doesn't have any info on it. I'm gonna try it after my Unlisurf expires. You can try it too. Send UNLISURF 200 to 2200. Have fun!

Feedjiting me and other tasks

Coolness. I can see my face in my live traffic feed everytime I visit my blog. I was so deprived of the net for the past six months that simple tricks like these thrill me much more than expected. Hah. Just follow the instructions and you'll see your face in your very own Feedjit! See mine? Anyways, I am up to a lot of things. Job applications. Scanning documents. And adult stuff. My moolah is running low, too. Darn. Can't wait to have my first job. I have to buy food for my dogs. Yeah, I would battle the heat of the noonday sun for them. My other problem rooted from my being impulsive at times and one of these times was yesterday when I was supposed to be ONLY checking my mail when I saw the sublect "still for taking" from a company that I write for. I confirmed the assignment, realizing (after receiving their reply, telling me I've won the project) that I don't have any interest on the topic. Moreover, I need to have this certain book as a referenc

Post Board

The only sustaining thought that has helped me through the hell-like six-month review was my life after the so-called board exam. And I'm living in it right here. Right now. Sipping my free iced tea.                Chatting with friends online.      A cozy seat here in Global Pinoy.                            A nice trip to their bathroom, containing spicy pink liquid handwash, body moisturizer, and hand sanitizer. And the room lit by the dramatic cylinder light. Am I really a professional now?? I tried to look the part by wearing the white blouse I wore during the second day of our board examination, black skinny jeans and my chunky pink-and-gold sandals. Lolz. The only thing that I did was have my picture taken here in Digiprint. By the way, I think the quality of their pictures has degraded. The color is kinda dull, and my head looked big. He took my picture a little too close. Going to PRC is supposedly my next agenda, but I think I'm going to blow it off. Sl

Before I start ranting, let me say that I absolutely adore the girls's bathing suit. Classic. Now, I am ready to rant. Synopsis: I'm a free-spirit trapped in a technical world. :( I don't know. Work kinda sucked today. I keep on repeating and repeating the things that I do because I still do see some mistakes. I have already undergone two reviews about it and yet, I still see that something's wrong. I don't know why I can't have inputs during my project review. Sometimes, I do kind of envy the other groups. They do have a support system. They do have senior engineers who can scrutinize the work of the younger ones. I am a newbie in my job, and sometimes, the problem that keeps on bugging my work is so simple and there's no one to help me identify what it is. We are mostly newbies in my group. The ones with experience are well, busy. Hope tomorrow is going to be different from today. Hope my design will work. Hope I can have a final design
