Susan Sontag's Thoughts on Love: An Illustration

Image
A decade-long friend who has began to master the craft of living life fully has inspired me though we haven't seen each other since high school. She has set her spirits free, traveled to great places, met amazing people, continued to feed her hunger for learning and blogged about it on Joxtapose .  She sent me the link to this romantic  illustration of Susan Sontag's thoughts about love, ever overrated, yet still interesting and touching topic the human race has ever talked about for centuries. [And, I have to thank her for leading me to Brain Pickings . Discovered a whole deal of great stuff on this site. A definitely must-surf site.] Read on. I'll share my thoughts about it on the next post. Wouldn't want a lengthy lengthy post. ;) Now, tell me your thoughts about this one. Did the face of anybody popped in your mind while you went through this illustration? If he/she is your husband/wife, I salute you. If he/she is your boyfriend/girlfriend, that is so

Instant Uppers Will Do the Trick

If work isn't giving you the adrenaline rush that it should suppose to, (I mean, we should be thrilled about the job that we have. After all, work is eating up most of our waking hours. For most people, I suppose.) then you should fill your free time and  day offs with instant uppers. Side story : After two years of being a semiconductor slave, I have learned to take my day offs seriously. Rather, I have learned to freely appreciate and enjoy my day offs ever since the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) cascade in our company. It simply gives the employees more freedom to enjoy their lives, their real lives. They'd like to ensure that no forced labor is imposed on us. And if you are rendering overtime work, you have to leave your siggie to signify that that extra job is coming from your heart and not from your boss's directives. via Moving forward. Wanna know mine? Okay, will spill. Morning Jog. Last Friday, I had my day off. I was up early for som

Take Me Here Before I Stop Breathing

We all have that waderlust in us, waiting to come and break free. I mean, who wouldn't want to see what lies on the other part of the world? With the internet, you'll salivate more to trod to places that seem too enticing to you. Right now, I am saving up on what I need to travel. Cc. Check. Time. I'll have it when I need it. Company. Check. Money. Working on it. Maybe next year, I'd let the wanderlust in me break free. ;) GREECE I have fallen in love with Santorini when I first saw it in the movies -- The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and a Tagalog movie starring KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez. If I could have my honeymoon there, I would.  via The nightscape is simply breathtaking, kind of halfway between usual cityscapes and rural towns. The white paint and minimalistic architecture are the trademarks I want to integrate in my own home. via I'd like to sip tea and read a book in one of these homey cafes. Maybe even write my fir

Letters and Coffee Stains

Image
Hey, wonderful blog readers. Look at what I have found! A letter. I just don't know how to describe it. I really can't remember how I have stumbled upon this. It could have been the crumpled paper on top of the coffee table inside the cafe that I went into weeks ago. Or the internet. Hmmmm. But, please put in mind that my brain isn't responsible for this piece. Really. Seriously. I didn't write this. via ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~  Dear Wonderful Person, Life threw you into my side of the pool during an unexpected moment, which probably was camouflaging since it was, I deem, one of those moments when I needed someone like you to show up in my barren, yet maze-like life. To fill up my weekends. To share beer mugs or cocktail glasses with. To share the dance floor with. To listen while I narrate my boring and ambitious life list. To make me feel, act, talk, dance, eat more like me. ;) I had a blast and I have actually eaten words that have spilled out of

Rainy Day Haul

Image
Pitter patter  said the raindrops on my rooftops. It's the time of the year once again when the weather makes me feel elated and energized despite the murkiness it brings. Weee! The August winds from Tagaytay blew my hair butterfly kisses every morning as the clear droplets breaks free from the edges of my trusty umbrella and onto my skin or sweater. Since this would be the scenario of my everyday since weeks ago, I decided to revamp my closet in the least wallet-shocking way. I went to the ukay ukay in Puregold Imus and dig in some items on sale. Ready for my rainy day closet upgrade? JACKETS & SWEATSHIRTS When I saw the stars and sequins, I instantly knew that this is a must-have. The print style on this jacket remind me of Abercrombie and Fitch. And when I wear this, it makes me look young and highschool-ish so I added it into my basket. Turtlenecks and plainness and peaches are my things, hence this. A body hugging piece like this would also push me to g
